A view into the finest root canals
Your benefits
- Up to 25× magnification
- Perfect illumination
- Better prognosis
The surgical microscope allows us to see into tiny, fine root canals that would sometimes not even be visible to the naked eye.

“Only what you can see can be treated well.”
Good visibility is essential in modern endodontics.
With up to 25× magnification, our Zeiss® surgical microscope makes even the smallest details and finest structures visible under perfect illumination. Without this optical aid, many niches – or even entire canals – remain hidden. Tissue remnants and bacteria left behind there can cause inflammation to flare up again, even years later.
Using the surgical microscope is essential to prevent this.
Even complicated cases – such as previously treated teeth with perforations of the canal wall or broken root canal files – can usually be treated well with the help of the microscope, and the tooth can be safely preserved.
